Manage Your Subscription

Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your NoteWave plan.

Introduction

NoteWave offers flexible subscription plans to fit your needs. This guide explains how to upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription, and what to expect with billing changes.

Available Plans

NoteWave offers four subscription tiers:

Free Plan

R0 / $0 per month

  • 45 minutes of transcription per month
  • Basic AI summaries
  • Live recording & file uploads
Pro Plan

R379 / $20 per month (R319 / $16 yearly)

  • 600 minutes per month
  • Advanced AI summaries
  • Zoom & Teams integration
  • Echo AI chat assistant
Business Plan

R759 / $40 per user/month (R639 / $32 yearly)

  • 1,500 minutes per user per month
  • Team workspace & collaboration
  • Centralized billing
  • Priority support
Enterprise Plan

Custom pricing

  • Unlimited transcription minutes
  • Custom integrations
  • Dedicated support
  • SLA guarantees

Upgrading Your Plan

To upgrade from Free to Pro or Business:

Step-by-step guide:

  1. Navigate to the Pricing page from your dashboard or visit notewave.co.za/pricing
  2. Choose between Monthly or Yearly billing (save 17% with yearly)
  3. Select your desired plan (Pro or Business)
  4. Click Start 7-Day Free Trial or Get Started
  5. A Lemon Squeezy payment window will open
  6. Fill in your payment details (card number, expiry, CVV)
  7. Review your order summary
  8. Click Subscribe to complete
  9. You'll be redirected back to NoteWave with your upgraded plan active
Instant Access
Your upgraded features are available immediately after payment. You'll receive a confirmation email from Lemon Squeezy with your invoice.

Downgrading Your Plan

To downgrade from Pro to Free or Business to Pro:

Downgrade process:

  1. Go to Settings → Billing in your dashboard
  2. Click Manage Subscription
  3. You'll be redirected to the Lemon Squeezy customer portal
  4. Select Change Plan
  5. Choose your new plan tier
  6. Confirm the change
Billing Cycle Change
When downgrading, the new rate applies at the start of your next billing cycle. You'll retain access to your current plan's features until then.

Canceling Your Subscription

To cancel your paid subscription and return to the Free plan:

  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Click Manage Subscription
  3. In the Lemon Squeezy portal, select Cancel Subscription
  4. Confirm cancellation
  5. Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period
  6. After that, you'll automatically be moved to the Free plan

Your existing transcripts and data will remain accessible on the Free plan.

Prorated Billing

When upgrading mid-cycle, you'll be charged a prorated amount based on the remaining days in your billing period.

How it works:

  • If you upgrade from Free to Pro on day 15 of the month, you'll pay for the remaining 15-16 days at the Pro rate
  • Your next billing date will align with your original subscription start date
  • Downgrades apply at the next billing cycle, so no refund is issued for unused time
