NoteWave is a cloud-based web application that requires no installation. You can access it from any modern web browser on any device. This guide covers the browser compatibility and system requirements to ensure optimal performance.
No Installation Required
Unlike traditional software, NoteWave runs entirely in your web browser. This means you can access your meetings, transcripts, and all features from any device without downloading or installing anything.

NoteWave supports all modern web browsers. For the best experience, we recommend using the latest version of your preferred browser.
Fully supported browsers:
- Google Chrome (recommended for optimal performance)
- Microsoft Edge (Chromium-based)
- Mozilla Firefox
- Safari (macOS and iOS)
- Other Chromium-based browsers (Brave, Opera, Vivaldi, etc.)
System Requirements
NoteWave has minimal system requirements since it runs in your browser. Here's what you need:
Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, or any OS with a modern web browser.
Stable broadband connection. Minimum 5 Mbps recommended for uploading recordings.
Mobile Devices
Live Recording Requirements
If you plan to use live microphone recording, your browser needs access to your device's microphone.
Requirements:
- Microphone connected to your device (built-in or external)
- Browser permission to access the microphone
- WebRTC support (available in all modern browsers)
When you start a live recording for the first time, your browser will ask for permission to access your microphone. Simply click "Allow" to proceed.
Supported File Formats
For file uploads, NoteWave supports a wide range of audio and video formats:
MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG, FLAC, WebM, Opus
Up to 2GB per file
Troubleshooting
If you experience any issues:
- Ensure you're using the latest version of your browser
- Clear your browser cache and cookies
- Disable browser extensions that might interfere
- Check your internet connection stability
